Content Lead for Intuit’s QuickBooks Community (Writing Samples)
I was thrilled to serve as the content lead for Intuit’s QuickBooks Community, an online community created to help small business owners and entrepreneurs connect, share, learn and succeed. I used my extensive editorial experience to help build and grow the QB Community in the U.S. and the U.K. to serve 5M+ QuickBooks customers. During my tenure, our community averaged 60.5K monthly unique visitors, with 4K new members registering each month.
As a self-employed professional myself, I know first-hand the challenges and rewards of building and growing a business. I loved using both my personal insights and more than two decades of editorial expertise to create meaningful, targeted content aimed to inspire and inform entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.
In addition to conducting interviews, writing profiles, and creating tactical and strategic business articles, my responsibilities as the content leader included:
- Developing a content strategy based on monthly themes and business goals
- Making content assignments and managing the monthly content calendar
- Editing all articles and posts from other QB Community content creators
- Creating branded email series to support enterprise-wide efforts to reach key audiences (including first-time users and product-trial “abandoners”)
- Collaborating with Intuit’s internal marketing team to develop written content that supports other multimedia and cross-platform engagements (including the award-winning Small Business Week project)
- Collaborating with Intuit’s external brand marketing team to provide written content supporting global initiatives (including the award-winning Backing You campaign during the 2018 Grammy Awards)
- Writing scripts and helping develop video marketing content
