Hi, I’m Willow.
I’m the author-illustrator of Get Off That Screen! Humor and Hope for Parents in the Digital Age, forthcoming December 8th, 2026 (Books That Save Lives).
Along with Deborah Huber, I founded the Today I Noticed mindfulness practice. We wrote and illustrated the book, Today I Noticed: A Little Book of Mindfulness that Will Change the Way You See the World (Blue Star Press), and we run mindfulness workshops for retreats, teams, and companies. You’ll find our observations and drawings on Instagram: @today.i.noticed.
I’m also a ghostwriter, book coach, content marketer, and a skilled editorial pro(fessional) with oodles of experience.

Today I Noticed (or “TIN”) is a simple mindfulness practice based on the transformative power of paying attention. The prompt, “Today I noticed,” is an invitation to pause, observe, and then record (with words and a simple sketch) some of the tiny moments of everyday life that often slip by unnoticed.

A bit more about me
I wrote for national and international publications before serving as a managing editor and content specialist, creating strategic print and online content.
I have an M.A. in English Literature from the Bread Loaf School of English (Middlebury College) and a B.A. in English from the University of Vermont (Phi Beta Kappa and Magna cum Laude).
I’m a “Cali-Kiwi” who grew up on New Zealand’s beautiful South Island. Kia ora!
Now I live in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Also beautiful!
My husband and I are the proud parents of two excellent young men, a sweet black dog, and a crazy orange cat.
I love to travel, hike, knit, read, and be utterly amazed at magic shows.
I once cold-plunged 40 times in 40 days.
As a registered Universal Life Church minister, I get to say, “I now pronounce you husband and wife,” * and have it mean something.
* Or whatever words you choose!
